About ERIN

When it comes to branding, Erin is a genius. Her company is Brand Junkie Creative, and has been a brand strategist and designer for 20 plus years now. She works with medium to small businesses and helps them grow their business through great branding and design. She went to school for graphic design and has always been passionate about helping businesses really feel proud of their brand in order to attract their ideal clients. When it comes to running a small business, she knows first-hand that you are the janitor all the way to the CFO of the company and everything in between, they do it all. So, she really wants to make branding and design easier for her clients as this is usually not top priority for them, although from experience she has learned that with the right branding, this will drastically improve business.

The importance of Branding

Brand recognition is so important. People need to be reminded of your brand, always. Your brand is ultimately a reflection of you, it’s your voice and style. So, you want people to recognize your brand. People knowing it’s your brand even before they view your actual brand is ultimately the goal. Such as how people naturally know the brand Coca-Cola without even seeing the actual logo. I help with brand strategy. 

You normally see common struggles that entrepreneurs deal with including having their brand being unclear, such as brand identity. A brand is not your logo, your logo Is just your identifying mark of your entire brand. “A brand is a person’s gut feeling about a product, service, or organization”. Your customers are the ones who create your brand. The way you create that “gut- feeling” in your brand is consistency.

Brand strategy

Your brand strategy is when you look at what are your long-term goals, and how do we create that so that your ideal clients easily identify you and prefer you over your competitors. Truly understanding your brand strategy is so important and it helps you create a strong foundation for your business. I’d say the largest struggle with small business owners is that consistency to create a strong foundation to truly find their ideal clients.

Brand strategy is what clears up the fog to realize what your niche really is. Were in such a saturated market these days, so finding your true brand is ideal. To have consistency and create a clear message.

When it comes to branding, finding specificity in your niche helps you find your ideal clients. Brand strategy is what helps you find what will resonate with your clients. Thinking bigger than your brand helps you realize what your clients will also gravitate to. Stick to what is cohesive with your brand. You have to have the element of relatability when it comes to personal brands, which is different from a service or product brand. 

That’s the really important part of the brand strategy, asking the questions of “Who do you really want to be serving, and why?” “Who do you relate with?” and “What are you passionate about?” A lot of the answers to these hard questions is what comes out when discussing brand strategy which creates a great foundation, and with finding your answer to these questions is when you can start truly succeeding. When you invest in branding, this also brings confidence in your business, being confident in your brand is always a must.
