Tips for business owners
- Use multiple accounts for business when it comes to your bank accounts. This is where people struggle with the most when opening a business, in general, when you separate your accounts, this helps you know exactly what your money is going to and where it goes. People get easily overwhelmed with this concept and I think it’s a great way to organize yourself. Set certain accounts to certain things such as taxes, and money for yourself, etc. Stay organized with your finances.
- Learn to pay yourself from the beginning. When you learn to live or run your business on less than its making is so important. The nature of our behaviors is when we increase our revenues, we tend to increase our expenses, and we forget to pay ourselves. If you don’t set that boundary of paying yourself, then it will go to another expense that ends up being less important than paying yourself.
- Always think about every expense in your business in two ways. Ask yourself, is this an expense, or is this an investment. See every expense and see if this is truly an investment or just an expense, and why am I spending money on this. Think about things and if you really need it or just want it. Compared to investments where the things you spend on improve your business and its outcomes.
Being a business owner can be hard and stressful, and at times it can even become overwhelming. With just these simple tips it can help you immensely becom more aware and organized within your business. Kristen has a live group coaching program that will be launching soon.
